It is so true, I even wrote a post about it myself a couple months back, because I was just so sick of the comments when people realize I have four girls (since Charlotte still has super short baby hair, people always think she’s a boy until I say otherwise). There is nothing wrong with having kids who are all the same gender (like we even have a choice, right?), and it’s equally OK to not care if we don’t get the opposite gender!

EXACTLY!! I mean, if we love having boys and we wind up having 10 children {lol we aren’t, but still}, why does it matter if we are perfectly capable of loving them, raising them, and taking care of them. People aggravate the crap out of me sometimes!

I’d just want them to be healthy and what is our business if you have 16 girls or 25 boys? People crack me up.

I don’t understand why anyone else has an opinion one way or another on what you want for your family? I have friends with all boys, friends with all girls, some with one kid, some with 4 – they are all happy. I have two, a boy and a girl, but I wouldn’t have been disappointed with two girls or two boys instead. Like you, I just wanted healthy kids.

I don’t have kids but I think if I did I’d be totally happy with a boy OR a girl… just so long the baby is healthy and happy! That’s all we can really wish for at the end of the day, right?

It is funny how people think we have any control on what we are having. I had two boys before my daughter and while I was excited to get a girl the third time around I would have been just as excited for a boy. I, like you, just wanted a healthy baby.
