Little Mister Style

I love dabbling in fashion, you know this if you have been following my blog for a little while. Well, I went on a little hiatus from my what I wore posts because I swear it was just the same outfits and I was getting tired of it. Over the weekend, we finally got our shop on! #woowoo I am totally bringing back my fashion posts soon, but in the meantime I did some shopping for the boys. It was one thing dressing my boys in cute little toddlers clothes, but now that they are getting bigger, especially Jay, and he is wearing little kid clothes, his style is really coming out and I thought it would be fun to do a little weekly post showing off my boys style. Lets face it, women and little girls fashion is fun and cute, but boys can totally rock some great styles and I’m bringing that to my blog. I even made this a link up this time and if it catches, I’ll continue to have it as a link up! Let’s get started!

Today, it’s just Jay. Kage wasn’t in the picture taking mood and I love that Jay was and how he had no problem letting his cute little personality come through!

Hana pro flat iron review

I was provided this flat iron in exchange for a honest review. All opinions are 100% mine.

Live.Laugh.L0ve. // Hana Pro Flat Iron Review

Being a busy mom, I rarely straighten my hair. I wake up and normally just throw my hair up in a ponytail and get on with the day. You’ve probably noticed that in my fashion posts. I really need to get out of that habit. The past few days I have been wearing my hair down because, I noticed after I straightened my hair, how long it has gotten from the short haircut I had. I am so happy because, I seriously miss my long hair! I miss all the fun stuff I can do with long hair. So, I’m trying to wear it down more that way it can grow and not be stuck in a pony tail holder.

When Misikko contacted me about reviewing their Hana Pro 1″ flat iron, I jumped all over that. Before I show y’all the before and after of my hair, I have to show you the adorable items that came with the flat iron. They truly spoil their customers!

Amazing right? I love the eye shadow they gave me, I’ve already used it and it looks great & I wear that eyeliner daily. I also used an eye lash curler for the first time since they sent me one. It was neat, but I’m not sure I will use it again for the simple fact that I don’t have to curl my eye lashes for them to look curly. I know just who to give it to though. On to the before and afters.

I always part my hair into three sections before I straighten it. Do you do that too? Or do you just straighten with it all down?

Live.Laugh.L0ve. // Hana Pro Flat Iron Review

It didn’t take me very long to straighten my hair with this straightener, but it did take me a bit longer than usual because, I have thick hair and I think this straightener is made for someone with thin hair. I had to do small pieces at a time to get the straight look I wanted. I didn’t mind one bit because, it turned out great and I’ve been using it, which in turn makes my husband happy because, he loves when my hair is down. It’s a win, win. If you have thick hair, I probably wouldn’t recommend this unless you don’t mind doing small pieces at a time, but if you have thin hair or medium thick hair, then I definitely think this is the best hair straightener for you. I still plan on using it daily because, I don’t mind having to straighten small pieces at a time. Here is what it looks like after.

So, what do you think? Would you get it? If not, what is your favorite hair straightener from Misikko?!

I’m okay with being different

Happy Friday friends. Sorry I’m late getting this post up, I had a TV show to watch {cough The Vampire Diaries cough}, then I had work to do and afterwards, my brain was just not functioning enough to put together a post. So, here I am at 9am writing. Today, I wanted to talk about something that has been on my mind. Today, I wanted to talk about why I’m okay with being different and I’m not just talking about my spots, that is a big factor, but I’m talking about something more.

Live.Laugh.L0ve. // I'm okay with being different

While I love to dabble in fashion and push my boundaries with it. I try hard to find the style I lost after having children because, normally that happens. You loose yourself in your kids and you forget that you’re a person who was somebody before you became a mom. One of those things you tend to loose, is your style. So, I found my style and while I like to be bold and stand out something, I love outfits like the one I’m wearing. Black and white, layers and cute boots to go with it. It’s simple and yet it’s me. It’s something I love to wear and something I feel confident and comfortable in. I don’t really wear heels that often and I could careless if I look like a diva 7 days a week, it’s just not me and I have found in this blogging world, that makes me a little different when it comes to my fashion choices.

Live.Laugh.L0ve. // I'm okay with being different

I have also found, that I am not really a cooker. Oh, I love to bake and I can spend hours and hours making homemade baking recipes and delicious treats, but I hate cooking. It’s something that must have skipped over me because, my mom loves to cook as well as my two sisters. I also hate cleaning. Again, something that skipped over me because they all like too. Don’t get me wrong, I love having a clean house and I DO clean to get a clean house, but it’s just not something I like to do. I also don’t believe in sharing everything that looks perfect. I talked about that once here, about how I share my real life and that means it’s not always gorgeous pictures and I don’t always look like I walked out of a photo shoot. That’s not real to me.

I hate pumpkin. I love decorating pumpkins, but pumpkin anything makes me want to barf. Take a look at this blogging world and you will see pumpkin is all the rage because, people LOVE it and well, I HATE it. I can’t stand the smell of pumpkin drinks or food and I definitely can’t stand the taste. I tried a pumpkin spice latte last year and I spit it right back out. There is so much more I can list that makes me different than the majority of people I see in this blog world and real life for that matter. Like how I’m outspoken and upfront. I tell you what you need to hear versus what you want to hear. This usually pisses people off, but I expect the same thing from people who care about me. I want to know the truth even if I don’t like it. I’m silly and I take goofy pictures, I am far from perfect and it shows in my pictures and that’s okay.

Live.Laugh.L0ve. // I'm okay with being different

I’m okay with all of this though. After the journey of re-discovering who I am besides being a momma {which I absolutely love}, I’m okay with being different, I’m okay with being me. The best thing you can do is be yourself because, the world wouldn’t be the same if you were like everyone else.

I would love it if you shared with me one thing that makes you different from the people you know.

My Favorite picks from the new candies line + an update on my back

I was provided these goodies & a gift card to shop at Kohl’s for the new candies line. All opinions are 100% my own!

One thing I love about being a blogger is when we get the opportunity to help promote something we truly do love. If you were to look in my closet, you would find that over half of my clothes are from Kohl’s. It is hands down my favorite store to shop at and when I was contacted to help promote the new candies line – I literally squealed out loud and immediately said yes!
I was sent this box of goodies. It was like Christmas day because I had no idea what was inside the box until I opened it and I was SO happy with what I saw!

Live.Laugh.L0ve. // My Favorite picks from the new candies line + an update on my back

With all my back stuff going on I hadn’t really had a chance to play around with my new items. Before I get into the goodness, I went to the doctor on Thursday and got two injections in my back. Good lord they freaking hurt but, they seem to be working. Let’s hope they continue to work! So, because Hubby & I haven’t been on a date night in over a month because of said back issues, last night we found a babysitter last minute {thanks mom!} & I finally tried out my items!

Live.Laugh.L0ve. // My Favorite picks from the new candies line + an update on my back

I’m not really a fan of pink nail polish but, I was really impressed with the one I received. It’s a very pretty pink and it dried so fast! I don’t know about you but I don’t have 30 minutes to sit and wait for my nails to be dry. That’s probably the reason I rarely paint my nails so, when I actually do – finding a nail polish that drys fast is a huge perk.
I also haven’t work stackable bracelets in a long time, way too long in fact and when I put these beauties on I loved them. I felt like they were the perfect accessory to my low key date night outfit!

Hubby and I went out to our favorite place, Texas Road house! Mmmm. Afterwards we headed to Kohl’s so I could get my shop on. I took advantage and did some browsing around online over the weekend so I knew what I wanted when I got to Kohl’s but, it was still so hard to decide. After some debate I knew I wanted a pair of wedges. Believe it or not, I haven’t bought wedges since I was about 15. Yeah, I know – it’s ridiculous. But, I adore these ones and I can not wait to rock them! I should also mention these shoes are on sale for $17.99! Get em while you can!

I also picked out this beautiful owl necklace. I seriously just couldn’t resist it.

A blogger I love is…

You can view days two + four here. Yes I skipped a couple – oops. #blogeverydayinmay

I have shared love for a couple of my favorite bloggers before here on the blog. Like these girls + these girls. I truly have met so many great ladies in this blogging journey and a few of them I have really connected with. Like the girl I’m about to share with you below. I hope when she reads this post, a smile lights her face because I really adore her.

Miss Chelsea – I’m publicly announcing my love for you. As soon as I saw the challenge for this day, you were the first person that popped into my head.

I don’t remember how I came across Chelsea’s blog but, I remember how I instantly connected with her. There isn’t one post I haven’t read by her since I found her blog. We have chatted via Twitter + on Voxer. I don’t know about you but, getting to here one of your blog friends voices randomly throughout the day is really awesome & I highly suggest doing that!
She has adorable style & I love how she isn’t afraid to act silly in front of the camera. Her posts and words are relatable and she even talks about topics that most bloggers don’t. Add that to another reason why I love her.

Chelsea, if you are reading this you should know I listen to your vlogs on Friday’s while doing the dishes or folding laundry, I feel like you are sitting right there next to me telling me about life & I have caught myself smiling or laughing out loud during said vlogs and having my kids stare at my like mom, what the hell is wrong with you.
If you are reading this you should know that I truly adore you as a person. I think all that you juggle is amazing & you are a supermom. If you are reading this you should know I am so glad we “met” in this blogging world & that one day I really hope we can meet for Coffee.. by the way when is it NOT snowing there? ;)
Chelsea – thanks for being you and sharing who you are and your life! If you don’t know my sweet friend you should get to know her. I could list a million more reasons why I love her but, do yourself a favor and go see for yourself.
I want to add that this post has NOTHING to do with the fact that she is one of my sponsors this month and everything to do with how much I truly value her as a friend and how much I love her blog.

Did someone say People Magazine?!

You guys I am so excited about this post!

I absolutely love People Magazine – from the celebrity gossip to the Fashion & style parts of it! It is absolutely no secret that I love fashion and style, especially sense I became a momma 4 years ago and needed to get out of my everyday yoga pants and t-shirt look. But yall, my guilty pleasure lies within that celebrity gossip! How bad is that?! I have always loved other people’s drama yet I don’t like any drama in my life. Yeah, doesn’t make sense to me either!

Yes, it’s true. I love drama & gossip and I really have no idea why but I totally do and People Magazine gives me that healthy dose of it! {If there is a healthy does} ;)

There is nothing quite like flipping open People magazine after a long day and reading about my fav celebrities and seeing what they are up to & drooling {yes drooling}over their latest outfits. Then again sometimes I’m straight up like, “Uhh oh no she didn’t wear that out in public.” Either way I puffy heart love it! Please tell me I’m not alone!

But that’s not even the best part about the magazine. Ladies, prepare yourselves.

Oh yessss it’s that time of year for People Magazine’s Annual Sexiest Man Alive issue. It’s totally drool worthy. My poor hubs, he know I have some favorite sexy celebs & I definitely don’t try to hide it. Good thing he’s not the jealous type. ;) #ionlywanthimforlife

Anywho for all you ladies who have a secret {or not so secret} man you think is sexy then you definitely need to be checking out People Magazine’s Annual Sexiest Man Alive issue that hits stores on November 15th. Sorry Husbands.

While were drooling over the hotties featured in the 3 above magazines! Who are you rooting for this year?! {Mcdreamy, mcdreamy, mcdreamy} ;) Even my mother in law wants him to be the winner!

& today you get the chance to win a $20 gift card to Krogers! Woot Woot! Use the Rafflecopter below to enter!
